DESCRIPTION:This talk will focus on the history\, basic principles\, and methods of Archetypal Psychology as they have developed over time. The emphasis will be on the importance of multiple perspectives and differentiation. Clinical moments\, dreamwork\, and interpretive attitudes will be highlighted.  \nPatricia (Pat) Berry\, Ph.D. \nPat received her diploma in Analytical Psychology from the C.G. Jung Institute Zurich in 1975. She was one of the early contributors to what came to be called by James Hillman\, Archetypal Psychology. Many of Pat’s earlier papers are collected in Echo’s Subtle Body: A Contribution to Archetypal Psychology. Later talks and papers focus on a wide range of phenomena such as multiple personality disorder\, child abuse\, the orphan\, film\, and aesthetics. She has been professionally active with Jungian educational institutions\, serving as Director of Training and President of both the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts and of the C.G. Jung Institute of Boston. Another study investigates the connections between dreams and the process of psychotherapy. \nA research design will be presented which aims at building a data base for future research in the process and effects of JP. \nThe applications of the archetype theory in clinical cases & cultural study will be discussed. \n  \nAbout the Lecturer:\nProf. Dr. Dipl.-Psych. Christian Roesler (*1967) is a Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences in Freiburg/D and Professor of Analytical Psychology at the University of Basel/CH. Jungian psychoanalyst in private practice in Freiburg Member of the faculty of the C.G.Jung-Institutes in Stuttgart and Zurich and at the Psychoanalytical training institute (DGPT) at the University Clinic Freiburg Membership in professional organizations: DGAP\, IAAP\, IAAP Research Committee\, International Research Network in Analytical Psychology INFAP3\, German Association of Professors of Psychoanalysis Specializations in work with couples and families\, interpretive research methods. Research and publications on: Analytical Psychology and contemporary sciences\, couple and family therapy\, postmodern identity construction\, narrative research\, media psychology.  \n
