DESCRIPTION:The lecture intents to explore the rebellion spirit in the Chinese psyche. The Taoist god Nezha and his myth will be used to explore the subject of rebellion from Jungian perspective. The themes of sacrifice and filial piety\, in the Nezha myth\, will be discussed in this lecture to explore the symbolic meaning of the depth of the rebellion meaning in the Chinese collective unconscious.  \nNezha is a wildly worshipped god in Taiwan and South Asian Chinese communities. His history can be traced back to India\, one thousand years ago. The significance of Nezha is related to his myth of god-becoming process. It includes his rebellious character\, self-sacrifice\, death\, rebirth and the determination of father killing. Nezha is an exceptional Chinese myth\, which is not only revealing the cultural attitude of rebellion\, but also suggesting the transformative solution of the conflict.  \nShiuya Sara Liuh (Ph.D.) \nDr. Liuh is a Psychologist\, licensed psychotherapist in Taiwan and IAAP member. She finished Jungian analyst training in ISAP Zurick and present resident in Taipei\, Taiwan. She co-founded Shiuhli Foundation and Shiuhli Psychotherapy Center since 1989\, which offers personal and professional psychotherapy service and training for the big Chinese area. DESCRIPTION:The lecture will introduce the concept of the Complex\, that finds its roots in the Experimental Researches on Verbal Association\, at the very beginning of Analytical Psychology. The concept and its developments will be discussed through the work of C.G. Jung and other outstanding Authors\, such as Hans Dieckmann and Donald Kalsched. \nClinical cases showing the dynamics of the complex psyche and their vicissitudes in the analytic encounter will be presented. This will also allow discussion on the countertransference dynamics in the more recent perspectives on the analytic field (Cambray; Hogenson).  \nLuisa Zoppi \nLuisa Zoppi\, born in Rome in 1960\, Psychologist\, PhD in Clinical Psychology\, Analytical Psychologist and training analyst with AIPA. \nLuisa has worked for ten years in the field of empirical research on Psychosomatics\, in collaboration with University of Rome “Sapienza”. The main interest of that work was the relationship between trauma\, emotion processing and physiological functioning of individuals. The more specific focus was the use of Referential Activity as a tool of investigation of emotion processing. Over the years\, Luisa has also given lectures on this subject at University of Rome “Sapienza”. \nLuisa has published -as a co-author- in a number of journals (amongst these are Psychology and Health\, 2001; Psychology\, Health & Medicine\, 2001). Again\, in the field of Psychosomatics\, Luisa has written chapters in collected books: Tra Mente e Corpo (Ed. Luigi Solano\, 2001) and Il Gesto che Racconta (Ed. Donfrancesco A. & Venier M.\, 2007). \nLuisa has lectured for several years on “The Theory of Complexes and Dissociative States of the Mind” at AIPA Training School. DESCRIPTION:The tendency of today’s psychiatry is to attribute the psychotic process to alteration in the brain’s anatomy\, biochemistry and electrophysiology\, thus exempting the subject\, i.e. the afflicted person\, from responsibility for attachment to reality and their sanity. Jung understood schizophrenia as an ‘abaissement du niveau mental’\, a similar phenomenon to the one encountered in dreams\, and caused by a peculiar ‘faiblesse de la volonté’. He contested that complexes in schizophrenia\, in contrast with neurotic disorders\, are disconnected and can either never reintegrate to the psychic totality or can only join together in remission ‘like a mirror broke into splinters’ (Jung 1939\, para. 507). Accordingly\, a person who does not fight for the supremacy of ego consciousness and has let themselves be swayed by the intrusion of alien contents arising from the unconscious (even to the point of becoming fascinated by regression) is exposed to the danger of schizophrenia.  \nAbramovitch\, Y. DESCRIPTION:Neumann is best known for his exploration of the developmental aspect of Jung’s archetypal theory\, especially his work on the “Psychology of the Feminine” and the “Great Mother”. He made use of mythology\, the history of religion\, ethnography\, and ethology to illustrate his theory of “The Origins and History of Consciousness”. Neumann composed penetrating studies on the nature of creativity\, cultural and more sense.  \nNeumann’s importance and breadth of understanding went even further. In the aftermath of the holocaust\, he was the first analytical psychologist to explore shadow and evil in his “ Depth Psychology and A New Ethic”. Neumann in his effort created new terms\, which have entered the basic vocabulary of analytical psychology. His last book “ The Child” is an examination of the structure and dynamic of earliest developments of ego and individuality. At our meeting we will explore Neumann’s basic concepts and more.  \nBatya Brosh Palmoni is a senior Jungian Analyst\, having served two terms on the Executive Committee of the IAAP and chaired the Working Group on Child and Adolescent. She was the convener of the 1st International Conference of Jungian Child and Adolescent Analysis\, in Moscow\, April 2019. Her passion for analytical psychology is reflected in her work as liaison person with the Kiev Developing Group and made multiple visits to teach and supervise in Kiev under extremely challenging conditions. She was one of the main organisers of the highly successful conference on the Jung Neumann Correspondence held in the presence of Jung and Neumann families. Batya is a senior training analyst in Israel Institute of Jung Psychology (IIJP) where she has served on Certifying Board and now the head of the Training Committee. DESCRIPTION:Fathers’ daughters are a varied body of women. For some of us it was father who could make the sun shine\, or father who made us important. For others\, father constituted the total power over the feminine which he assaulted or purged. Common to all of us who are fathers’ daughters is the fact that the image of the father takes up the greatest space in our inner universe. This\, generally speaking\, leads to other patterns of behavior\, and it opens up other doors in the society than those for mothers’ daughters.  \nA father’s daughter can express herself in many different ways\, dependent on how her father has been\, to what she is disposed\, what has been prominent in the culture\, how her own development has been etc. But there seems to be some general archetypal patterns that are seen in myths and fairy tales\, in films\, books\, dramas etc. and in reality.
