ABOUT:
The workshop aims to equip participants with basic theoretical concepts of Symbols in Jungian Psychology and to cultivate a symbolic attitude. Using the spider as the central symbolic theme, the workshop offers a fertile ground for exploration, reflection, and experiential engagement. This workshop is ideal for psychologists, psychiatrists, and mental health professionals with keen interest in understanding symbol — a core element of Jungian thought and practice.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:
EMMA Ting WONG

Emma Ting Wong, PhD, was born and raised up in Hong Kong but currently practicing in London. She is a registered clinical psychologist in both Hong Kong and the UK with over 20 years of clinical practice. Emma is also a Jungian Analyst and mindfulness teacher. Emma’s professional interests center on cultural identities, dreams and the integration of art into therapeutic practice. She is active in giving presentations and workshops at international conferences emphasizing embodied experience and artistic expression. Emma is experienced in facilitating retreats, experiential practices and social dream matrixes. She is currently serves as the President of the Hong Kong Institute of Analytical Psychology (HKIAP) and is a member of the Independent Group of Analytical Psychologist (IGAP) in the UK.
KENNETH MF WONG

Kenneth WONG is a psychiatrist specialist with over ten years’ experience practicing in public hospitals in Hong Kong. He is also a Jungian Analyst, with special interest in the treatment of psychological trauma, somatisation disorder and dissociative disorder. He has been supervising psychiatrist trainees in the training of psychiatry and psychotherapy. He currently serves as the secretary of the Hong Kong Institute of Analytical Psychology (HKIAP).
