Jung on Saturdays Webinar Series 1
2021-04-17 @ 15:00 - 16:30
Fathers’ daughters are a varied body of women. For some of us it was father who could make the sun shine, or father who made us important. For others, father constituted the total power over the feminine which he assaulted or purged. Common to all of us who are fathers’ daughters is the fact that the image of the father takes up the greatest space in our inner universe. This, generally speaking, leads to other patterns of behavior, and it opens up other doors in the society than those for mothers’ daughters.
A father’s daughter can express herself in many different ways, dependent on how her father has been, to what she is disposed, what has been prominent in the culture, how her own development has been etc. But there seems to be some general archetypal patterns that are seen in myths and fairy tales, in films, books, dramas etc. and in reality. In the presentation, Misser will try to describe some of these different patterns.
