Jung on Saturdays Webinar Series 2

2021-05-01 @ 15:00 - 16:30

Neumann is best known for his exploration of the developmental aspect of Jung’s archetypal theory, especially his work on the “Psychology of the Feminine” and the “Great Mother”. He made use of mythology, the history of religion, ethnography, and ethology to illustrate his theory of “The Origins and History of Consciousness”. Neumann composed penetrating studies on the nature of creativity, cultural and more sense.

Neumann’s importance and breadth of understanding went even further. In the aftermath of the holocaust, he was the first analytical psychologist to explore shadow and evil in his “ Depth Psychology and A New Ethic”. Neumann in his effort created new terms, which have entered the basic vocabulary of analytical psychology. His last book “ The Child” is an examination of the structure and dynamic of earliest developments of ego and individuality. At our meeting we will explore Neumann’s basic concepts and more.
